Many recipients of social services feel isolated from society

Everybody wants to feel like a valued member of society; but for many recipients of assistance and various social services, there is a burden of guilt that comes with accepting help from others. This guilt can cause someone to withdraw from society.

Solution: Have members of the community give them holiday cards

A Richmond, Virginia nonprofit runs an annual holiday card program that solicits volunteers from the community to show support and empathy to area residents in need, by creating handmade holiday cards for them.
